The Influence Boost Awards Terms and Conditions (09/06/2025)
The competition
The Promoter is Field Level Tech Limited, Company number 16126242 of 20 Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU.
The ‘Influence Boost Award’ competition promoted by the Promoter requires participants to create content that promotes democratic engagement on social media.
How to enter
The competition will run from 9:30am on 06th June 2025 (the "Opening Date") to 9:30pm on 16th June 2025 (the "Closing Date") inclusive. All competition entries must be posted and submitted for review by the Promoter during this period; any competition entries received after 9:30pm on the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
To enter the competition, post a video to one of the required social media channels in accordance with the competition rules and guidelines in the “rules summary” available from https://influenceboostawards.org/rulessummary. Once your video is live, submit a competition entry via the entry form on the website. By submitting an entry you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
The Promoter will not accept responsibility for competition entries that are corrupted, not successfully completed or transmitted, lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, website, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
Eligibility
The competition is only open to all persons in the UK, except:
employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;
employees of partner campaigns, agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
members of the immediate families or households of 3.1.1 and 3.1.2 above.
If you are under the age of 18, you must obtain written parental or guardian consent to enter and claim your prize. The Promoter may ask the winner to provide proof of age.
In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:
unlawful or include unlawful, obscene or defamatory content;
automatically generated by computer or created by artificial intelligence (including but not limited to chatbots such as ChatGPT or similar software applications);
completed by third parties or in bulk;
illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
not originals; or
incomplete.
Only one entry per person can reach the final panel judging stage outlined in 5.1.1. The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
Prizes
The prizes are:
Prize A: a cash prize of at least £1000 for the overall winner of the competition;
Prize B: a “boost” of content on social media on a random basis: each day during the competition week videos which meet the prize rules will be entered into a “boost pool”. If possible a least 5 videos will be drawn at random from the boost pool for paid social media reach each day.
Prize C: a “boost” of content on social media: In addition to the randomly drawn boosted videos IBA may boost the top entries from creator genres and platforms that did not get random boosting
The prizes are not negotiable or transferable.
Winners
The competition entries will be judged by a two stage process, including an initial shortlisting stage involving FLT staff and one independent judge; and a final stage involving a panel of at least three independent judges. The decision of the panel of judges (acting reasonably) will be final. A list of names of the judges can be viewed on the influenceboostawards.org website.
The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will publish the first name and first initial of the surname and county of major prize winners and, if applicable, their winning entries on the Influence Boost Award Website on 27th June 2025 (Announcement Date) unless you object to any of this information being published on the basis of privacy or any other concerns.
If you object to any or all of your first name and surname initial, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter at [email protected]. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
Claiming the prize
Please allow 10 days for delivery of the prize.
The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the competition entry. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 21 days of the Announcement Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to another eligible entrant selected in line with clause 4.1.
The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
Limitation of liability
Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Ownership of competition entries and intellectual property rights
You agree that the Promoter may, in their sole discretion, make your entry available on its website and in any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence in perpetuity, for the full period of the intellectual property rights in the competition entry [and any accompanying materials], to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the intellectual property rights in the competition entry [and any accompanying materials] for such purposes, and you warrant that you are properly able to grant that licence and that your entry and our use of such licence shall not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.
Data protection and publicity
The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in the Privacy Policy on the Influence Boost Award website.
General
If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
These terms and conditions are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
