How to win

We’re looking for videos that:

  • Contain the required points from the info pack
  • Are factually accurate
  • Explain why this issue is important to you
  • Explain how this issue affects your audience
  • Inspire your audience to action
The winner will
be judged on:
  • Entertainment - is the video attention grabbing, fun to watch and engaging?
  • Clarity - is the message articulate and easy to understand?
  • Creativity - has the creator used clever or innovative techniques to get across the message?
  • Reach - has the video reached a wide and relevant audience?
  • Impact - does the video motivate people to take action?

Entry criteria

  • Creator must be a UK resident aged 18+ or must obtain written parental or guardian consent to enter
  • Video must be published on at least one of:
    • ○ Instagram
    • ○ Tiktok
    • ○ Youtube
  • The video URL(s) must be submitted via the entry form on our website

    Videos must be published and submitted before 9:30pm on the 16th of June.

    Posts must tag @influenceboostawards

    Videos must cover the key points as specified in the info pack

    Videos must comply with the platform’s own content policies

Eligibility for the grand prize

  • Videos must achieve at least 5000 views 24hrs after entries close to be able to win the grand prize (£1000)
  • If you have posted to multiple platforms we will add up the views from each.
  • For example: 2000 views from Instagram + 2000 views from TikTok + 2000 views from YouTube = 6000 views total and is eligible for the big prize.
  • Note: your video view counts must be visible

Winning Boosted reach

  • During the publishing week we will select videos at random to be boosted to a wider audience. To be eligible the video must:
    • ○ Fit the above entry criteria, however it does not need to cross a reach threshold.
    • ○ Be on Instagram or YouTube (TikTok do not allow people to boost videos about social issues)
    • ○ Fit the individual platform’s requirements for boosting (see below)
  • For a direct boost

    Instagram:

    • ○ You must have a professional Instagram account (either as a creator or a business)
    • ○ The account the video is posted from must be linked to a Facebook page
    • ○ An admin of the Facebook page must be authorised to run ads about social issues
    • ○ Reels must be under 90 seconds long and have a 9:16 vertical aspect ratio
    • ○ Long form videos must be under 15 minutes long
    • ○ Videos cannot be boosted if they contain copyrighted music or interactive stickers

    YouTube:

    • ○ Your account must be a member of the Youtube Partnership Program
    • ○ When notified by us, you must link our account to your video
    • ○ The video must not contain any copyrighted music

    TikTok:

    • ○ Sadly TikTok does not allow paid promotion of videos that cover social issues.
  • For an indirect boost:

    If the above criteria cannot be met we will perform an ‘indirect’ boost. This means we will upload the video to our own social media account and pay to boost it from there. On Instagram, we will add you as a collaborator.

    If your video is randomly selected to be boosted, but does not fit the criteria for boosting, we will select another video. You will still be eligible for the grand prize if those entry requirements are met.
